WE ALL HAVE A STORY!

Meet The Golden Beads founder Lily Spencer. She grew up in Montessori schools from birth - 8th grade. She practically lived at the schools while her mother worked around the clock as an owner/director. It's no wonder Lily's passion lies with all things Montessori-inspired!

In 2002 Lily obtained her Montessori certification (3-6yrs) and, after graduating from University, worked in Prague, Czech Republic as a lead teacher in an international Montessori school. During this time, she created and hosted teacher training workshops for aspiring classroom assistants and parents wanting to learn more about the Montessori Method. Graduates of the course received Lily's first handmade Montessori-inspired jewelry!

After returning stateside, Lily founded a Montessori-farm school on a 70-acre working ranch in Texas, giving students a beautiful, natural learning environment in which to flourish and a peaceful space to enjoy with their families.

It was here she recognized the deep desire parents had for their children to be as engaged and hardworking at home as they were in the Montessori classroom. However, most families didn't quite know how to do it without help. Thus, Lily's passion emerged for guiding parents to create beautifully prepared living environments which support the child's need for independence and inclusion within the family. Lily firmly believes that every home should be filled with peace and harmony.
